I am type 2 and have been for the past year. Recently my knees are really painful when I try to kneel. Burning and pins and needles sensation. Is this caused by diabetes?
Meformin works by stopping the liver from producing some of the glucose it normally does so it is possible your bgs might rise a little but 39 is a great result to start from. How did you do that?Have had my yearly review and now have a reading of 39. The nurse said to stop taking my metformin straight away, but I'm not sure if I should or should I work my way off them? Anyone who can advise please
Thanks, I have lost two stone. I have cut down on my carbs. As I do have a sweet tooth I eat sugar free biscuits and sweets. I have learnt to eat in moderation where before I would eat a whole packet now I will have one or two.Meformin works by stopping the liver from producing some of the glucose it normally does so it is possible your bgs might rise a little but 39 is a great result to start from.
