I have my hound on a new dog food to help with her weight loss and one of the ingredences was L-carnitine
Well I haven't heard of it .. but thats no surprise .. I looked it up and found this ....

More benefits of L-carnitine include relief from chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetic neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and intermittent claudication, insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes, kidney disease and dialysis

Has anyone tried this .. or is it yet another snake oil

It is mentioned in Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution as being useful in helping obese people begin to break down fat and alter blood test results for the better.

As a veggie I have never viewed any of Atkins diets ... So there is hope for my dog then
