Hi. Just about 6 weeks from symptoms developing and a month after my antibody test was taken, I've finally had the results today confirming LADA with antibodies >2000. I've also had a CT scan to check my pancreas which thankfully looks OK. Interestingly my CT also showed an ovarian cyst - I've had a few and in fact my other ovary was removed with a large cyst 20 years ago. Does anyone know of any connections between polycystic ovaries and LADA? I understand it may be an autoimmune condition.
I'm already on basal insulin, but they plan to start me on bonus in a week or so after my holiday. Is carb counting really difficult? I'm getting referred for the DAFNE course, which I hope will help.
