Type 1 Lantus air bubbles

Hi,

New to lantus and just realised there are well over 10 tiny bubbles in the pen. I am accustomed to the odd single bubble in the novorapid and novomix pens, and the bubbles there move as I shake the pens trying to get the bubble out. The bubbles in the lantus pen are static, so I can't get any of the air out. A reason to worry?

Not really, we inject sub-cutaneously, not intravenously. Any small air bubbles that get injected will disperse harmlessly.

Or are you thinking about dosage?

I know bubbles are not so much of a problem. That they are static in this pen is what puzzles me...

Have you tried flicking the top of the pen? That is what I do when there are bubbles; that will bring the bubbles to the top and you can "inject" them out.
