I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with Lantus and BG control - I take my lantus in the morning (26 units reduced from 34). I’ve taken it in the morning for years now. The last few weeks my bloods start to increase around midday - 3pm (a stubborn high sometimes), but at night I seem to go down at least 3mmol...which has led to a few night hypos.
I’m in the process of basal testing which has confined the rise in the afternoon - typically to 11mmol by 3pm without eating, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue? It seems strange that it rises in the day and lowers in the night (no novorapid active) when it should almost be running out? I’m meeting the DSN next week to hopefully explore other basal insulin’s.
