Lantus: spotted a trend.

Yup. Got renamed as Insulatard.

Makes sense.. I knew it as insulatard (though hated the name.) with the green removable sticky strip on the box that could be afixed to the Novo pen to identify the contents..

I only ever had it in vials, but i remember the yellow sticky strip on the Actrapid box

This is really interesting post and something i will be keeping track of from now on (thought it was in my head).

I take 12 units Levimer a day so takes me a while to get through a pen and it definitely becomes less effective the older it is.

Thanks :)

It would be great to compare notes on this whatever MDI basal used.!
I even welcome views from those with no issue.? Though storage methods help regarding a general overview on this topic..

Cool idea. Though they did fade after a while. But it was just a case of replacing a new one from another box!

I never used them as I only had one pen... well maybe once just to see ;)

You can be amazed at the time that can be shaved off selecting the bolus when "on the run" with those ID stickers.. Lol

I will definitely be keeping track over the next couple of months.

Once started I keep the pen out of the fridge and in my bag (I work away a lot so keep constantly chilled not practical)

Will update with results as I have them
