Hi guys,

I travel from a country to another
I found that sanofi the company that produce Lantus are having many different pen in different languages.. And what make me confused that Lantus that distribute in Arab countries cost 16usd for each pen where the pen that have Turkish language cost only 6usd.. Does Sanofi produce different lantus with different quality? And am I going to face any different reaction from my body to each type?

No they don't, it is down to the Health Authority in each country.

You will get the same medicine just in a different package and a different language, it is still the same. As for the pricing then again that is down to what ever deal was done in that particular country.

Thanks, each pen should have how many year before its expire? If it didn't open for sure

No idea, should have an expiry date on the packet no matter which country you get them from.

Or do a Google and see if there is any info on the Sanofi site about how long unused Lantus lasts for :)

The "Product License Number" on all items should confirm them being the same,
it looks something like - PL 2323232323.
That's English version, sorry I can't help with the languages you've specified.

Your pens are exactly like ours - with a different language.
I have a different MAT number, but don't know what it means.
I have collected new supplies and inspected them.
It could be PL number is just for pills!
On box is the EU license number, EU/1/00/134/033.
UK doesn't make/store insulin.
I put that number in Google, and it came up with loads of info, all confirmatory, it's definitely Lantus!
Look on your box and do the same.
Of course, Arab and Turkey countries may have different numbers. I would give it a try though.
Sorry if it's getting confusing...

But the expiry date won't do you any good if you can't keep the insulin cool while you transport and then store it.

Insulin is remarkably resilient thing and while it should be stored in a cool area, travelling for short periods of time won't do it any harm. I have travelled to many places in the world where the temperature is much higher than the UK and not noticed any detrimental effect on the insulin. Granted I have kept it out of direct sunlight and if a fridge is not in the room then found the coolest place to store it :)
