Hi Folks, been having trouble with my lantus and I am wondering if any one has switched from a once daily lantus injection to two injections or have switched to twice daily levamir?

I split mine 50/50 12 hours apart as I was getting high fasted readings if I injected at breakfast and vica versa as in my experience Lantus does not have a 24 hour action despite my DN telling me it does.

I've never injected lantus twice daily but there are a few members that do. I did change over to levemir a few years back but just couldn't get the split-dose right,,,,,despite injecting a third more than what I was taking with lantus. I'd have a word with your DSN about it if your not getting the full 24 hour coverage with lantus, without getting the basal dose right everything else will never work and you'll be chasing your tail all the time.
