Hi all,
Does anybody know if the lapel badge that is for sale in the shop (2.99) is recognised by health proffesionals or is it simply a sign that we are a member of this community?
Basically, if I wore one on my work uniform, would a paramedic know instantly that I was diabetic?

Thanks all.

Hi Martin! The lapel pins are more of an indication that you are a member of the community than anything else. If you're looking to get something that will be recognised by medical professionals, you might be better off taking a look at this section of our shop http://www.diabetes.co.uk/shop/category.aspx?id=11

I have just got the standard ID wrist band and is easy and comfortable to wear and it comes with a one year membership which is renewable. The wrist band has a unique number which is linked to an online account where you can store loads of information :- next of kin, friends & relatives, doctors, medications and much more.
