lapel badge in the shop

Hi all,
Does anybody know if the lapel badge that is for sale in the shop (2.99) is recognised by health proffesionals or is it simply a sign that we are a member of this community?
Basically, if I wore one on my work uniform, would a paramedic know instantly that I was diabetic?

Hi Martin! The lapel pins are more of an indication that you are a member of the community than anything else.
