finally got a call from my Doctor today. my latest a1c came in at 5.2 to be honest i do feel a bit disappointed after holding 5.1 for 6 months. i may have to change my diet since i do consume atleast 100+ carbs on most days

i was also sick a few weeks ago for about 5 days straight so im not sure if that impacted my results

A one point difference makes no difference. The test is an average and points are rounded up or down so you have, in essence, maintained a great A1c. Very well done.

Brandon - Well done on keeping your condition stable and in a great place.

Bearing in mind we'll be having these tests for a very long time, it isn't crerdible to always expect an improvement. or ven that things will be beang on stable. Life gets in the way, and although as T2s what we eat and drrink is critical to controlling our blood sugars, there are othererr influencing factors too - illness, stress, sleeping pattersn, travel, weather - just as examples.

I give myself a range within which I I can aspire to. Maybe consider that?

5.2% is 33mmol/mol. That’s pretty bloomin’ good!

If you achieved constant reductions to those sort of numbers you’d be dead in a couple of years.

I say well done for maintaining your diabetes even close to that range! :)

Very well done! That’s an excellent result!
