Got my blood results back today and the Cholestrol tests look very good.
All values in mmol/l
Total Cholesterol - 3.6
Trigs - 0.42
HDL - 2.03 (56% of total cholesterol)
LDL - 1.47
The statement in the doctor's letter says "This indicates good control by the medication" although I suspect that using 10mg of Atorvastatin has less of an impact than the Low Carb diet, especially given the HDL and Trig levels. If anything, my total cholestrol is slightly higher than previously, mainly due to the increase in HDL. The amusing thing was the guidance that gave loads of things to eat in small amounts relating to the NICE guidelines, yet my diet is somewhat opposite and the bloods look excellent.
Kidney and Protein aren't quite so wonderful. The eGFR came in at 71, but that's still considered to reasonably normal. Creatinine was 105 mmol/l, which is high side of normal and so was Albumin at 48 mmol/l. Urea wasn't particularly high though.
Looking at these numbers, we're not in Kidney disease zone, but keeping Hba1C lower will help given both results.
The ECG also noted a left anterior hemi-block, which seems to have been no cause for concern by the doctor.
All in all, not a bad set of results.
