Grazer said:If it's just an HbA1c test, then whether you fast or not will make zero difference to the results of the test, as it reflects blood conditions over a period of several months leading up to the test. Howerver, they often take blood at the same time for other tests which may require fasting so you need to check.

Wxcellent well done!!!BioHaZarD said:I am soooo happy, it's my first blood tests since diagnosis results and it could not be any better.
HbA1c = 5.5% (down from 11.1%)
Cholesterol = 3.5% (down from 4.5%)
Kidneys stayed the same at 68.
And nearly 1.5 stone lighter.

Thanks to this website and everyone on it... Low carbing, high fat is working a treat.
I got my results on 1st August whcih were all good, and the DN asked what meds I was on. ( been with this same DN for the last 2 1/2 years) and I said I was on no meds, just excercise and a LCHF diet, and she just looked at me as if I had 2 heads. Sometimes I say to myself, really, what is the point of going to this person.sallylondon said:What fabulous results!! :clap: :clap: :clap:
When you received the results did the nurse or doctor say anything to you? Do they know you are low-carbing?
