Angry people and liver!
Had my annual review last week and as a result of rising bgs have been switched from sitagliptin, which was not working, to Forxiga. Felt frustrated that despite my best efforts with low carbing and plenty of exercise could not keep bgs down. Mornings were getting into the region of 10's to 13's and taking most of the day to get them down. Have to say only 4 days in on Forxiga and bgs are improving already - no side effects yet and just hoping that the trend will continue.

I think if I were you I would consider going the fasting route . For me it was a bit scary day 1 because it seemed like the blood sugars would just carry on rising if I didn't eat something - ( mine went from about 6.5 first thing upto 12 and only began to come down after about 2 pm, I decided to carry on through and see what happened next. the results were very good, a gradual decrease in the afternoon, a much smaller rise on the second day and by the thrd day much more stable and lower blood sugars. I was wearing a continuous monitor whilst doing it so I could see the story unfold Having watched it happen once, I am definitely converted to the idea that significant fasting might be a good part of the solution - with some feasting to offset it ! of course.
