I have been lo-carbing for nearly five years now, and keto for well over two (carbs around 20gm/day). I have always had a slight worry about the higher fat (especially the sat fat) part of the diet. This is due to most HCPs and "dieticians" blaming heart disease on fats for the last 40+years.
A couple of months ago (due to an unrelated problem) my Doctor referred me to a Heart Specialist who sent me for CT Tomography and CT Calcium scans. The results are now in, no sign of any artery blockages, and a Calcium score of 0.
I am now not bothered at all re the high fat part of the diet, and although this is only my result, hopefully it may reassure others who also have the same misgivings.
