Hi
Looking for information regarding doing LC , while being Vegan.
Have had good results in the past lousing weight, but I was eating meat/dairy.
Last year I did a juice reboot, haven't eaten any meat since then, next came eggs & dairy.
My weight has started to increase, funny how easy I found it to find "bad" vegan food.
So any pointers please
Thanks in advance
Joe

Do you have diabetes? How is your control?

I eat lower carb/healthy fats, plants only. I avoid the major carbs such as rice, potatoes, pasta, most bread, sugar, root veg. Vegan fats and protein you will already know about. Plant protein has higher carbs than animal protein so you will need to test (if you don't already) to see how much you can tolerate. It is doable.

Hi Ive got type 2 , was diagnosed two years ago .
My HbA1c was 41 two weeks ago , the best Ive had is 35. But i was on the meat version of LCHF.
At the moment I'm very confused with what to eat, not sure what total amount of carbs I should be eating.
Vegan fats, I don't think I'm eating enough. Need to do more research.
Currently I eat a heavy about of fruit, lots of veg and some bread
Ive just started to keep a food diary for an average week, so I can see my total carbs for the week.
I've not checked my blood sugar levels in nearly 1 1/2 years was told by the GP not to do that as i would hung up on the constantly changing levels !

So I think I need to start from scratch

I would have to disagree with your doctor. By checking your blood glucose levels you will learn how to avoid constantly changing levels and will be able to establish nice, gentle levels without spikes. Buy a monitor, you know it makes sense. If you do a search for Codefree, you will find details of a good value one. If you need a current discount code, just ask and someone will share one.

Fruit, veg and bread doesn't sound great. Fruits can be high in carbs as can some veg. Bread goes without saying. Where is your protein and fat? Please pop over to the veggie section for ideas and ask any questions.
