A question, I have been T1 for 42 years, recently I have started eating very low carb and the difference is incredible. I am in target 90 plus percent and my A1c is coming down. I have terrible insulin resistance and take metformin with my insulin. I am down about 40u of fiasp a day and my basal is down by 16u a day but started over the last few days to have lots of stubborn hypos, virtually no fast acting at all most of the time just a unit here and there to prevent a rise. Anyone out there find their insulin resistance lessening, don't know whether to lower the metformin?
