I know heat can affect insulin requirements but does it affect those that are not on insulin?
My levels for the last week have been creeping upwards, I don't take them that regularly but now and again I like to check for a few days.
Last night levels were 6.8 at bedtime, 4 hours after food. Then today, skipped breakfast so a total fast of 16 hours 6.2. That's the lowest since last Monday, 2 hours after meals it's double figures, regardless of what I eat.
Just wondered if it was the temps making it harder to control?

My BS levels are all over the place taking metformin and gliclazide with this heat. Before the heat I knew when there was a chance of my BS being high or low. At the moment I don't have a clue apart from the warning signs what's going on, getting highs when I should be in normal range and vice versa.

At 1 am woke up to a bad hypo of 2.6 (def not my normal self) and felt really grotty, had some fruitellas, then eventually got up and had a small snack and some fruit juice. 1/2 hour later was 8.8 great I though I over did the snacking and would be high this morning. Tested 1/2 later to make sure I was not excessively going very high and I was in the 6.0's :(.

That put paid to try and get some more sleep, another 1/2 hourish was back up to 8.0 (without having any more snacks) fell asleep shortly after woke up this morning to a near normal level of 4.7 (normally 4.4 most mornings).

Then the rest of this afternoon been in the low teens :(
