What are the differences?Hi I'm hoping to try the Libre 2.
Does it need any apps ?
Does it need to work with my cell phone?
Or is it basically like a Libre 1?
I don't have it yet.My Libre 2 app was white screening and crashing too. I uninstalled/re-installed and logged in many times but to no avail. I spent over an hour on the phone to Abbott who were clueless. I then wondered if it was the Novopen that was the issue so phoned Novonordisk too. The lady there said to leave the pen on the phone when doing the scan u til it was complete (I had not uploaded my doses for a while) and this seems to have done the trick. It’s laborious but, just keep trying, eventually, it works!!
Just like the Libre 1, Libre 2 uses the LibreLink app.Hi I'm hoping to try the Libre 2.

No. It is inserted by you to be read by your phone. Is it set up to be read by your pharmacy somehow when you wear it
The Libre 2 Reader was like the Libre 1 reader.I don't have a special cell phone so I'm getting a reader?
As in like the Libre 1 reader
O gosh I hope not.The Libre 2 Reader was like the Libre 1 reader.
I believe they are phasing these out to be replaced by kind of dumb phone with only one app.
The current (Libre 1-like) Libre 2 readers do not support rtCGM and still require scanning.
Do you have a smartphone? If they phase out the readers but you have a old cell phone how is it to be scanned? How do you know your blood sugar readings?
I have no clue. I got it used refurbished I think they call it. A Motorola is all I know about it.Do you have a smartphone?
Doesn't matter, you got a reader with it and I think that will suit you better than your phone.I have no clue. I got it used refurbished I think they call it. A Motorola is all I know about it.
You already have experience with the Libre 1 don't you?Well it arrived and it has a reader. Now to get it going when im absolutely electronics illiterate.
Yep. Just trying to read the small print with my magnifying glass.Doesn't matter, you got a reader with it and I think that will suit you better than your phone.

It's really pretty much the same.
If your libre don't tell you what your blood glucose is you should do a finger prick.1. What does this mean--
"Do a blood glucose test if the sensor glucose reading does not include a current glucose number"
No idea. But I have been using the Libre 2 for years and have never worried about it.2. "Codes on labels must match"
In your pocket?3. Where can you put the reader so it's "within 6 meters of you at all times"
So in my purse while shopping wouldn't work?If your libre don't tell you what your blood glucose is you should do a finger prick.

In your pocket?
On the table?
on your nightstand?
Depending on what you are doing at the moment.
