The silly alarm keeps going off .
With high blood sugar.
Since there's nothing I've been able to do to get better control I will have to shut the silly alarms off. I can't hear well so I keep wondering what I'm hearing lol.
So I check and that's what it is I hear. I really like the alarm idea but not if it goes off so much.
O well I was looking forward to that feature.

Does the readings on the Libre 2 have to be disregarded for the first day like the Libre 1?
Its still going up and up and up.

So in my purse while shopping wouldn't work?
As that's not unobstructed?
I carry mine in a purse type bag most of the time I’m not inside the house. While I play I hang it on the fence or net post of which ever side of a court I’m playing on, sits in the basket of my bike, a dry box in my kayak ( so near my feet), and on the floor by my bed at night. I haven’t had any problems with it operating in those places when it is not directly on my person.

The codes you must check are on the pull off foil on the packet the sensor is in and the applicator top that you twist to attach. I have always checked, but never had a discrepancy.

Wow when I went to turn off the high alarm I discovered that you don't have to turn both off.
Not that I will ever hear one for a low.

Is the Libre 2 actually worth getting? I was considering it for a short period but every time I read there’s problems

I'm just new with one. I sure hope it works out. I had nothing but problems with the Libre 1.
I keep reading about problems with the Libre 2 also.

Yes I did that too. I never did for the Libre one. Idk even know if it needed that done for the 1.

They can be a bit erratic on the first day. Though I put mine on 24 hours prior to the old one running out.
If the high alarms keep going off, it shows the area you have to work on to try and get better control. See it as a challenge.
Yep I will be doing that.
I did turn off the alarm for being high. I would get too annoyed with the frequency of it going off. Lol

At night I put it beside my bed too. When I go out in my purse but I won't be able to hear it. I don't hear my phone in my purse so I won't hear that as it's alot lower sounding but I don't wear clothing with pockets.
I think it's neat that you kayak!!
And can bring it too.

One thing I was very happy with about the reader size is that it fit in my homemade leather case that a special person I love made for my Libre 1. I was worried the Libre 2 reader would not fit as the special person has passed on and can't make a new one.

Is it working right?
It's going up to over 11 after taking rapid action insulin. I shudnt be that high.

OK it seems maybe this Libre isn't good either!!! The 1 wasn't.
3 finger tests so far has shown the Libre to be at least 2 points higher. Example- 7.7 finger poked vs 9.3.
I mean if i have to be lokingmy finger so often I may as well go back to that because 1. My pharmacy said in the case of a discrepancy to trust the finger poking and 2. It could be dangerous using the Libre numbers to base a treatment on like ifi took some insulin to bring that high number down.

I have been using Libre 2 for nearly 3 years and over that time have come to understand it pretty well, and it has given me far more control of my BG. Yes, it is generally between 1 & 1.5mmol above finger pricks, especially with BG above 8. It tends to be more accurate at the lower numbers, which is where you need the accuracy more. I put on a new sensor the night before I change. This does seem to help the sensor settle down more quickly. The logbook is particularly good for recording all your interventions and spotting any patterns. The information uploaded to LibreView, provides a phenomenal amount of data, which can be very helpful if you know how to interpret it. Yes, there was a massive problem last weekend with an update to the app, but this has now been sorted out. I would thoroughly recommend it, you just need to get used to its idiosyncrasies.
