Libre 2 reader not working

Hi,

I wonder if anybody can help me. I have been on Libre for a few years and have always used a reader since I did not want to always be 'tethered' to my phone. I have just tried to scan myself but the reader would not turn on. I have tried charging it and holding the button for 10 seconds, but to no avail. My phone cannot download the app as it 'will not work for my device', apparently. I assume my phone is too old.

Aside from buying a new phone and downloading the app, can I phone Abbott to request a new reader? Or is it best to buy a new one online?

Just feeling a bit scared about being back to finger pricks and would appreciate some advice.

Thanks,

Samantha

Hi
Might i suggest you buy a new phone if you can and download the app?
At least then if your new reader fails or perhaps if you forget it you have an alternative immediately available?
My wifes phone is compatible too.

I'm not anxious about my diabetes but i do like to cover all bases.

Good luck

Tony
