It is approved in so much as being safe to use, and is on something called the NHS Supply Chain, My consultant says she 'can' order from the supply chain but it is onerous and it has to be done for each order - no repeat prescription facility.
The three CGMs we can get are on something called the Formulary. GPs can order from this easily.
Getting the L3 onto the formulary is just a paper shuffling exercise as far as I can see.
To this end I have written to my MP and she has promised to put my letter in front of the appropriate minister.
I'm not holding my breath.
