Is there anyone who has tried the libre 3 sensors? If so did they work and what phone have you got as I've been given one to try I made sure my phone was compatible but it won't work.

Hi,

I’ll tag in @becca59 . I think she has trialed them?
From what I’ve read. Some positive feedback.

It is more readily available in Germany. I don’t believe you can buy it in the UK and is only available for a few trials on the NHS.
There are some threads on Libre 3 on the forum for the charity, Diabetes UK, including experience from German members.

Have managed to get it working now I changed the app permissions. The only thing i don't like is that you can't customise the hi or low alarm tones and am worried I won't wake up if it just beeps. Is there any way of changing them like the libre 2 allows you to?

To be fair, I still use the L2 with a 3rd party app which has a customisable tone function for personal requirements? In my case "taste." My low alarm sounds like Star trek kicking off...

Trialed Libre 3 a few weeks ago for Abbott via hospital. I cannot comment on their accuracy because the trial was blind. What I would say is, I wore one on each arm and due to weight and size I wasn’t aware of them on my arms. They are not generally available yet, though I was given one to take home. Absolutely useless at the moment as they do not work on I phones, which is what I use. There are moves afoot to get the app on Apple but hasn’t happened yet.
Also, it doesn’t sound as though people will just change from Libre 2 as we did from Libre 1. Unless of course you purchase yourself.

If you're using an iPhone you can enable 'Critical Alerts' which is an iOS feature only available for emergency apps. The alert will play even if the phone is muted and/ or in in a sleep Focus mode.
