Libre app - scan button not working at all - any ideas?

Hi all. I haven't used a Libre CGM for a while, but I'm trying to make changes to my diet so thought I'd get a couple for monitoring. I put one on my arm on Friday, but I cannot get the app to work. I get to the scan screen, but the 'scan' button doesn't appear to be a button at all - it's just text. Not even an error. I've uninstalled it, cleared the cache and data, rebooted my phone .. in various different orders. .. but still nothing. Has anyone else had this? Thanks in advance!
 
Sorry you are having problems with Libre.
Can you provide some more information about your set up?
Are you using an iPhone or an Android? Which version of Libre are you using?
 
It may be that you have your NFC radio switched off on your phone - when you tap the phone to the sensor does anything happen?
The NFC radio would be necessary to use the phone to make payments - are you able to do that?
 
OK, sorted :D Me idiot. I'd been using an iPhone before and expected a button - hadn't realised that if I held the back of the phone to my arm it would just 'work'! Thanks for the seemingly simple suggestion!!
You’re not the only one to have been caught out by this. I use an iPhone and helped a friend set up a Libre and the app on her android phone. I was puzzled by the lack of scan button too for a bit!

My iPhone did actually do this a few weeks ago and it actually had a fault with the nfc , I took it back to the Apple shop where I bought it 15 months ago and they gave me a new phone , faults do sometimes happen .
