Libre Freestyle 2 - low readings

Hi all,

Got my trial Freestyle Libre 2 CGM today.

(Had one last week but it was faulty. The replacement one included a return bag, but they want the battery removed. How do I do that?!)

So at first the readings seemed to closely match the strip readings, but in the last hour I am getting very low readings - between 3 and 4. Strip tests are around the 6 mark.
Is this normal at certain times (new sensor just fitted, etc) or do I have another duff sensor?

I didn’t know how to get the battery out so I just sent the sensor anyway.

It will take a couple of days for the readings to settle which is why some of us attach a new sensor to the other arm 48 hours before the original is due to expire but don’t activate it.

Also bear in mind the Libre is around 5-10 minutes behind your glucose monitor in its readings.

Thanks.

Seen other posts about low readings early on, guess it's wait a day or two. Having been very low (less than 2) over the past couple of hours, it's starting to recover now. One thing I have noticed... I have switched to Shugga for real time readings on my watch, at this point in time it's telling me 3.4, while scanning from Libre app is telling me 5.2 - what gives? Shouldn't they both be the same???

I think the taking the battery out is just a general message for all devices , if you send back a bg monitor yes but not a sensor .

I sort of assumed it meant the reader (if you had one) rather than the sensor. So yes, what you say makes sense.
