Libre freestyle CMS

If you're using the website, at the top right hand of the page there is a search box if you search for libre in there you will find hundreds of posts.

What does CMS stand for? CGM means continuous glucose monitor, but the libre isn't a continuous glucose monitor, it's a flash glucose monitor - as in you have to flash the reader over the sensor to get a reading rather than its continuously receiving readings.

Hi
I was wondering if anyone has any experience of using this
I have been using the FreeStyleLibre for several months now; since first diagnosed Type1. I find it extremely useful for monitoring trends in my blood glucose(BG), and generally checking my BG when cycling, prior to bed etc. I find it extremely useful if the BG trend shows a raise or fall, I can then bring the BG down quickly by going for a run, or a bit of a banana to bring it up. I must also state, that in my opinion, the after sales service that you get from Abbott, is outstanding.

Users who expect an unerringly close match with meters might say, "Constantly Mis-reads Sugars."

Whereas users who love getting a heads up on a looming hypo would say, "Champion, My Saviour!"

I'm in the latter camp.

Hi, I've been purchasing it for over 5 months and it's massively improved my HBA1C or whatever you call it. I'm more motivated to control my sugars, I feel in control and it helps understand what foods make your sugars increase/decrease. For example wotsits make my sugars crazy haha. It's brilliant, if you can afford it I highly recommend to all diabetics

It gets a reading every 15 minutes so long as you "swipe" at least every 8 hours.
