Libre playing up

Feeling shaky scanned & 3.4 but blood 8.4 but spare meter 8.0 confused?????

Is it a new sensor - they can sometimes take a couple of days to settle down.

Alternatively, I'm afraid that Abbott do ship duds every now and then (nobody is perfect) so if it doesn't sort itself out give Abbott a call, they are usually pretty good at replacing faulty sensors. They even send you packaging to send the dud one back in.

On the assumption you washed your hands before the blood test, then I would suggest you go by the blood test rather than the Libre

Regarding the difference between the results of the two blood tests, there are often differences when at either more extreme end of the range so I wouldn't be too concerned regarding the difference between 8.4 and 8.0. Also, a different test strip may give a slightly different result. Different meters can often show slight differences.

As for the Libre being so low, there is a time lag before the Libre catches up with the blood test, particularly if it's changing fast. If the Libre is continiously well out of kilt with blood tests, then contact Abbott during the week

Put it on yesterday has been ok hopefully it’s just a blip as last one fell off so getting replacement sent don’t want to be calling again with issues

The other thing that springs to mind is if you've been laying on it or putting pressure on the area where the sensor is? I think it kinda pushes the interstitial fluid away from the area so the sensor filament has less fluid around it and consequently returns a lower reading.
