Libre Problem Scanning and Data

Hi, I am an intermittent user of a self funded Libre 2 Plus CGM of which I am very pleased with (usually) and hook it up to my Android phone. Recently I fitted a new sensor which worked great for about 12 hours then stopped automatically sending the data to my phone. I found I could manually scan the sensor with near field touching and it would pick up the missing data fine but then still wouldn't automatically send again unless I manually scanned.
I have had this once before and the very helpful folks at Abbott ran me through several checks before agreeing the sensor was faulty and sent me out a new one.

Somewhat different this time in that I deleted and reloaded the LibreLink app on my phone expecting to be asked if I had done so by Abbott, however this time it all started working again correctly.

Long story short though, is that all previous history on my phone app has disappeared which I suspected would happen although the history is still there on the LibreView account in the cloud. Does anyone know of a way to get the history from the LibreView account back onto my phone app (LibreLink) or is this just a one way street?

Many thanks for your considerations, minor problem in the grand scheme of things but annoying all the same.

This is a common complaint when you uninstall and then re-install the app with libre 2's and I have never heard of any workaround.

I have had this once before and the very helpful folks at Abbott ran me through several checks before agreeing the sensor was faulty and sent me out a new one.

It's nice they gave you a new sensor, but it was extremely unlikely that the sensor was at fault. Instead the bluetooth connection between sensor and your phone stops working.

There are a lot of things to try, like restarting your phone and clearing your bluetooth cache, but there is one step you can try before uninstalling the app and that is to sign out of the app and then close the app, re-open and sign in again. Your history on the phone should not be lost when you do it.
 
It sorta depends on what the 'process' of deleting the app is trying to achieve. If it's data corruption, then the answer is NO, there is no way to recover/preserve it. If it is just to reload the app, then it is possible to take a copy of the data and restore it after you have done what you wanted to do. It's a bit geeky and needs the use of ADB. To be perfectly honest, patience is the best plan. It only holds 90 days and that zooms by!!!

I use the reader instead of a phone and can say that this kind of problem has not arisen . I have changed readers several times over the years when all that is required is downloading the info from the old reader or if your GP/ diabetic consultant does not require access to your info at the consultation session then as far as I am aware this info remains in the old reader
