Libre reading and going Keto

I am RH for years. Did anyone notice what I noticed with Libre? Few weeks ago I tried again to go Keto and IF. My libre showed a constant and steady drop in my BS.I thought logic. But then like after 3 days It showed I was constantly below 3.2 and then on day 5 I was between 1.8 and 2.3. I felt weak but not hypos, I checked my BS by finger prick and I was 4.7 when Libre was reading 1.8!!! Of course I got scared and had fruits etc. I know in the forum many said Libre isn't accurate below 4, but can it be that inaccurate? Especially that I found scientific papers suggesting CGM devices over finger prick ( not when GS is ramping fast- but couldn't find out how much the descrepency can be). Also if I go keto and libre is always showing red number what shall I tell my Doc why am I not reacting by eating fruits and whole grain etc.. ?!!

I have no knowledge of cgms myself but many T1s and some T2s have reported low readings are faulty and used finger prick to decide what action to take.
Using carbs to treat hypos could be a precursor to another episode of hypoglycaemia.if you do find yourself in hypo levels 3.5 or below, a very low carb bite should be enough to bring you back up such as a bite of cheese or a piece of meat, check after fifteen minutes until your blood glucose levels are stabilised. Even wholegrain and fruit could be too much. Wholegrain is called a complex carb, a complex carb just slows down the spike, but it still gets there and triggers the insulin that drives you into Hypoglycaemia.

Thank you for your reply. I am happy I found the thrread. Already in 1 day I had mamy of doubt cleared by ready through the posts and I also feel I am not alone and that my symptoms are not my imaginations ( my mama thinks so).
Now I learned I should double check my BS with a finger prick before reacting to Libre. I will try cheese when I get hypos, but meat did t work for me.
Thank you Lamont and others who created and are maintaining this thread alive.

If you have read the many threads that are in the RH sub forum there are many and varied types of RH, and not one is the same, it is a huge learning curve that many doctors and even endocrinologists cannot understand the cause or the treatment. And only this forum will ask or advise to try keto. They just read the text books, which don't use the experience of those who have to live with it! I would certainly be very ill or worse if I had listened to my first endocrinologist!
keep asking.
I do have a blog, you should have enough posts to navigate through to the blogs forum. I have practically told my life story on there but it does describe my battle from the turn of the century. Hope you find it and enjoy.

I will certainly keep navigating and reading and hopefully I reach your blog. I am happy I found many like me...it sounds selfish but I am sure you understand what I mean. Thanks again.
