Currently wearing 4 sensors. 2 L2, one of which is mine, and 2 L3. It’s going to be an interesting fortnight making sure I keep them all on.

I’ve done trials before, but they are having more difficulty filling the spots now it is readily available on prescription. Both L3 bled on insertion, typical. These are blind so no idea what is happening. The L2 I have to use the reader and do 4 blood tests a day and then scan immediately afterwards. So quite full on. Luckily no alarms on that one. Just my own to go off at an ungodly hour. Have spares of the 2 I can use but if the 3 comes off I have to return for another to be put on. Fingers crossed.

How interesting, why do you have to wear so many at once though?! 4 seems a little excessive :hilarious:

Well it’s for the trial and the extra is my own. I wanted to keep my statistics and have authentic CGM facility with alarms. For the purpose of the trial the L uses the reader. They are measuring accuracy of the L and in tandem. Why I have L I don’t now. Anyway on each arm so good job it’s winter and my arms are covered.

L3 now for 12months.
Very happy with it, so small discreet.
I believe it's as accurate as you can expect.
Don't really understand why L2 still exists.

Because it’s cheaper and still the only one most teams support you having.
I wore one years ago in another trial. I then got a freebie which I loved. Still cannot have one permanently.

I wonder when the L2 will be replaced by the L3 , my consultant did mention it In May at my review but I haven't heard anything since , does anyone on the forum know ?

I pushed my consultant hard to request L3. Tell them L2 is too bulky causes compression low's, anything really that would suggest it is causing you problems with your management.
12months plus now on L3.
Very happy with it!

I just wondered if they were phasing out the L2 , I haven't really had any problems with L2 but was told L3 was a bit smaller and a bit more accurate so that would be a bonus . am I right in thinking it last for 15 days as well , also does the app need updating .

Why are all my numbers highlighted in blue!
They appear to be the emojis of the numbers rather than the simple numbers.

The first message was OK, but the replies are wrong. Could you be typing the replies on a phone with some sort of virtual keyboard with emoji support and you are touching the emoji for 3 rather than the 3 on the number keyboard?

I think so, - Google Play has two different apps called "FreeStyle LibreLink - GB" and "FreeStyle Libre 3 - GB"

I've just been switched from the libre2 to the libre2 plus (which lasts for 15 days but doesn't need a new app). So they may be phasing the L2 out, but not necessarily replacing it with the L3. As far as I can tell the L2+ was released after the L3 which seems weird.

I reversed my Type 2

Tablets (oral)
I self fund the Libre 2 plus having switched from the L2 4 or 5 months ago, and earlier today I was going to say how much more accurate and reliable it was. I got sidetracked. I must have tempted fate as the one I started this morning keeps losing signal. It’s like the old days having to scan every time I want a reading :(

I don’t think the Libre 2 plus is available yet in Canada. I just checked.

I only use Libre app to start my sensor.
I then use xdrip for all my data, alarms and minute feed to my watch.
A game changer for me
