Libre v Finger Prick

I always believe a fingerprick over my Libre, but when in doubt I wash hands and retest.
Some residual food on the fingers can easily give a false test result.
Your profile doesn't say what type of diabetes you have or what medication you are on.
Are you on medication that can cause hypos like gliclazide or insulin?

Type 1 for 50 years.
Finger pricking testing is more accurate than a CGM.
Take it a stage further and your alarm goes off in the middle of the night.
Try and recognize how you feel and what i mean is i wouldn't know if i was 4.6 but i would know if i was 2.9.
Because of my age we had no tech to help us in the 1970s and had to rely on recognizing the signs of a low blood sugar.
Heaven forbid if all tech went down i'd be fine but many wouldn't.
I do not want to go back to the dark old days and please don't think i'm being smug either but do feel i appreciate the new tech more.
I found out recently i don't qualify for a pump as my control is too good!!!
Talk about a back handed compliment.

Type 1 for 47 years now and agree with @Tony337 .
Finger prick wins for accuracy every time. I'm currently in a dialogue with Abbott regarding the hugely inaccurate readings I've had from my last 3 Libre 2 + sensors.
Similar to yourself this morning after breakfast, my Libre was showing 2.9 with the trend arrow pointing straight down.
Contour next finger prick showed 4.3.
When I woke at 6.25am today my Libre reading was 6.5. After 47 years you kind of know when something doesn't feel right so I checked it with my contour meter which showed 13.3.
Yesterday morning something woke me up at around 00.15am and I glanced at my Libre, which had me again at 2.9 with the arrow trending straight down. My contour meter said 8.0.
I've been using Libre for a few years now. Not without niggles, but nowhere near as bad as the last few days.
Abbott proudly declare that their Libre sensors operate at 99.9% within zones A + B of the Consensus error grid.
Something which I looked into yesterday. Maybe I'm the 0.01%?
I've taken screenshots of all of the previously mentioned discrepancies which I plan to discuss with my consultant next week at our annual appointment.
