Type 1 libre

hi any one else using these been type 1 for 30 years getting mine next week.any feedback would be great thanks
Hiya 1st sensor was a bit off about 3 mml out. This annoyed me at first but looking at the up and down line graph has been really good to be honest. The 2nd two sensors have been much ore accurate to be fair and I am learning to deal with the delay (it's about 15 mins behind real time i believe). Readings can also be a bit out when going high quick or low quick but the notes tell you that at the top right. I was all for not bothering at first but I'm gonna keep doing it a bit longer as I am running a lot lately and it's useful to see patterns.

I've just been told my my diabetic specialist dietician and consultants , who work in separate hospitals, that the Libre has been approved for NHS prescriptions but they are caught up with the legal stuff to work out how to allow access to it and who for.

The one bit of advice I would give, is don't pin your hopes on this being a replacement for blood tests, nor accurate representation of what your BG is. But what it is, is a rich landscape picture of where your BG has been, and where it is going. Whilst a finger prick will tell you at any given time what your BG is, CGM or Flash GM will actually allow you to predict where its going, and with experience, that is worth infinitely more. I learnt more in 28 days with CGM, than I had in 28 years before.

That is interesting.....interesting too see how the choose people....

Insert and wear it for at least 12 hours before you activate it, will be more accurate and stable in the first few days that way.
