Went to see the consultant today for the first time was in conversation with him and I brought up the libre just to see what he said next thing I no he sends the nurse out to speak to my DN who was in another room to my shock she just come through with it told me all about it showed how and stuck the sensor on my arm biggest challenge now trying to get a prescription for the sensors if not I’ll self fund but I guess it’s a start

I started on the Dexcom but switched to the Libre as it is more affordable and nearly as good. Once you start on a CGM you can't go back. Using only a glucometer when CGMs are available and accurate is akin to only doing urine testing in the late 1980s!
