They have been around for quite a while now.
There is often confusion between the Low GI (high carbohydrate) rolls and the low carbohydrate protein rolls.

I would recommend LivLife Bread (3.6g of carb per slice) available at Waitrose or Ocado.com

There are also lots of 'Keto' low-carb bread recipes on YouTube.

I have had one of those occasionally as I could not stand the low carb rolls they are really nice but I did not test after it
I do remember someone here saying they sometimes have the low GI loaf from Lidl and it does not impact to much on their levels

I had one last week before an exercise session, after a few hours of training I tested at 4.8, it sustained me nicely for this purpose.

Choosing your foods wisely based on your activities can include foods like this, worry not and experiment away.

if im completely honest exercise is a swear word to me
its only been very recent that ive increased my steps on fitbit
i was over the moon a few weeks ago if i got 2000 steps
went to drs with chest pain and he checked me over sat with a smug grin on his face and said 'your over weight and need to exercise more'
i told him how much id lost and he told me i needed to lose weight (3 stone 4)
i posted on my facebook page about it as was very upset and a friend added me on fitbit and we do daily challenges ive upped my goal to 3750 i know its not alot but i can do that easily but been smashing my goals with 5 000 to 8000 steps daily
back in december when i started using fitbit my weekly steps were 12-13000, now they are 30-40000
i am very over weight and i dont deny it
i did 55min of fat burn walking last week so thats 1/4 of the way to get my body magic award at slimming world (45 mins a week spread over max 3 times a week for 4 weeks)
today im walking my daughter to the drs
ok so i went off topic a little but i will try the roll later and will test before and after..........i do love a cheese roll

Low GI is better than high GI, in that the carbohydrate hit is slower any you may avoid quite as sharp a peak.
If you are trying to limit your total carbohydrate intake then it possibly counts more as "poisoning you slightly more slowly". :)
In any particular case, low GI may delay the sugar hit long enough for your body to ramp up the insulin to deal with it.
The main thing is usually low GI is still high carbohydrate and so is more risky for T2 diabetics.

Fine example of the mantras "We are all different" and "Eat to your meter".
If you can eat the low GI roll without messing up your BG control then go for it! :)

You need to keep testing after that last one. The roll is low GI which means it will take a lot longer to release all the glucose. With low GI I always found it was a long slow rise that took forever to come back down.
