Lidl not doing Protein Rolls any more?

My wife went to Lidl today to buy my supply of high protein rolls and was told they were stopping them. The staff couldn't say if its temporary (maybe Christmas?) or permanent. She bought a whole bag of frozen ones (84!!) just in case. We're now trying to buy a second hand chest freezer...

Anyone else been told this? Anyone have any information? I can't find anything on the internet about it.
 
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo ! ....................finally found something to assuage my sandwich craving and they stop it, lets hope its just for Xmas
 
I've left a message on the Lidl FB page to try and find out
 
I contacted Lidl and they assure me that they are NOT discontinuing them and they WILL still be on sale ......see attached file to verify ...I messaged them on their FB page

I'll be going to LIDL tomorrow to stock up. Just in case.
 
I love the idea of having 84 of them in the freezer just in case.
 
For some reason their customer service centre couldn't tell my wife that. Must just be a seasonal thing in the Plymouth stores then. And I've just got back from my friend's house with their old chest freezer!! Oh well, I will stock up anyway in preparation for the zombie apocalypse or something!!
 
I have this idea now of people with diabetes, all over the UK, queuing up early morning to get these rolls and stuffing freezers full of them - then thinking #@£+ how will I fit the turkey in !

I'm now the proud owner of 36 - all nicely tucked up in the freezer. Just in case.
 
Gosh that did scare me! My main stay for low carb lunching. Panic over.

I wonder what the truth is.
 
My daughter picked me up 3 rolls today. I may freeze one for Christmas Day to be on the safe side
 
I bought some in my local Lidl yesterday (Sunday) and they were on special offer at 29p!!!!!
