For those who may be interested, I contacted Tesco about those Lidl bread rolls ...
Dear Mr Taylor
Thank you for contacting us.
Tesco's current charity partner is actually Diabetes UK so your suggestion does sound very interesting.
Although I'm not in the position to promise this is something we can do, I can certainly log your suggestion for our Buying Team who can take your comments into consideration when the range next comes up for review.
Thanks again for contacting us and if there's anything else I can help you with please let me know.
Kind regards,
Tesco Customer Service

Hi there
I don't know if this the correct contact email, but I have a suggestion for a bread product that Tesco might like to introduce.
There are millions of Type 2 diabetics in the UK. Many of us manage our diabetes by restricting carbohydrate foods in our diet. One of the many foods that are restricted is bread.
>>
>> Lidl supermarkets offer a high protein, low carbohydrate seeded bread roll. These rolls are very well regarded in the diabetic community because we can eat them without adverse effect. There are almost no other such bread rolls on the market.
>>
If Tesco were to offer a similar product there would be a substantial ready-made market for it, especially since Lidl do not market their product as low-carb. I also understand (anecdotally) that the rolls are popular with bodybuilders due to their high protein content.
I have no links to any company that would stand to profit from this - my only interest is as a consumer who would like to be able to buy these rolls at Tesco instead of having to visit a second supermarket.
I hope this is an idea you would consider.
Best regards
