I cannot talk about Type 3c but with Type 1, I ignore the life expectancy statistics, take heart from those who have had diabetes for 50, 60 and 70 years knowing most of that was before fast acting insulin, insulin pumps and CGMs and do my best to maintain my blood sugars in a "healthy range" without allowing diabetes to take over my life.</blockquote>
