Just wondering if anyone has life insurance, and if so, which company would you recommend and how was the process of getting it? I keep putting it off but just need to get it sorted!
I got life insurance for a mortgage many years ago, it was a Decreasing Term Policy and the company I took it out with was called Cornhill Insurance, the policy was later taken over by Phoenix Life but I'm unsure if they still provide new policies (but you could check).
As a type 1 expect to pay a loaded premium, the best advice is to shop around and compare prices with the best cover available to your needs. Good luck.
I have life insurance but as I am over 50 there were no questions asked. There are special insurances, I think on diabetes.co.uk there is information on this topic
I used a website called the insurance surgery that I seen advertised as catering for folk will long term medical conditions.....
they got me a policy with AVIVA and then I swapped it over to someone else last year.....
I get regular calls from different brokers [don't know where they got my details] seeing if they can get me a better deal...if they can I usually take them up on it....
pay between 25-30 quid a month for the mortgage and some for the kids, which is probably on the higher end of the spectrum....
