Im a t2 diet/tablet controlled diabetic with life insurance which was taken out b4 I was diagnosed.Do I have to inform my life insurance company of my new medical status? Do I also have to tell my car/household insurance comp too?
 
You don't have to notify your life insurance company. The premium they are charging you will have taken into account the fact you will get less healthy as you get older, as we all do. If you apply for more life cover, say if you move house, they you would have to mention the T2 on the application.

You should mention it to your car insurer, but not your home insurer.
