Hi everyone, I haven’t posted on the forum for a while now, even though from time to time I’ve been checking in and reading posts but I wanted to let you know my progress in the year and a bit I’ve been diagnosed.

So I was diagnosed with my levels of 88, after changing my diet and reading a lot of information and getting a lot of good advice from everyone here, 3 months after diagnosis my levels dropped to 33 with help from metformin and has stayed between 33-35 throughout the next 12 months.

I’ve recently been to the obesity clinic at Luton & Dunstable hospital and I’m 3 weeks into the milk diet which I know is another topic altogether but in those 3 weeks I’ve lost 14.2kg so far and had to stop taking my metformin.

Apart from the initial weight loss which I’m very happy about and the dietary changes I’ve made, today I gave in and had to have ALOT of carbs and fibre today to settle some stomach issues and tested myself after and I was quite surprised by my blood sugar only rising from 5.8 to 6.8 and that’s being metformin free!!!

I know I have a long way to go but hopefully I’m on the right path and maybe, just maybe I’ll be in remission in the near future

That's so great!
Well done!
