light headiness

Hi all,
I was diagnosed with type2 diabetes in January this year after having spells of light headiness, after taking 2 metformin tablets per day my symptoms had gone away. Over the past 2 weeks my light headiness has returned and when I check my blood sugars they are good.
Can anyone explain why my symptoms have returned? I have had a few extra alcoholic drinks over the resent spell of hot weather could this be the cause?

When I drink I get really bad stomach cramps so given it up
What readings are your bloods also the dizziness may be nothing to do with being a diabetic might be worth getting it checked out

Hi Paul, I'm also a type 2 and get the very same dizzy spells. My blood sugar levels have been normal every time too!! I don't think it's an alcohol issue either as I have it during my shifts at work too!! I'm going to ask the Diabetes team about it as it's a really odd sensation!!! Hopefully we can work out what is causing it!! X
