Lindt has a great variety of cholocate. I sometimes add 1-2 squares of Lindt figue intense to my oatmeal. It makes it all different.

Ooooooh now that is an idea, do you just grate it on top.

I currently add the following into my porridge:

Flakes almonds
1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter
Canderal
Cinnamon

And yes all those fats make it ultra LOW GI so no spike 'usually'

I sometimes melt Lindt 90% chocolate then mix some macadamia nuts into it then pour it into a tray lined with parchment paper place in the fridge until set then break it up. It's very yummy and gives you that chocolate crunch that you sometimes long for.

Cinnamon
Soy milk
Flax seeds

Other possible add-ons - chia seeds, coconut flour/oil, nuts & other spices-ginger, fenugreek & cumin are ones I have tried

Now I’m thinking about melting c or Hotel Chocolat 100% drops over balls of almond butter and setting in the fridge.

I'm gonna try this but with:

Natural peanut butter
Flaked almonds
Handful of oats
Chocolate protein powder
Grated coconut
Topped with Lindt 90% chocolate

And make them into protein balls

Quick question what is the best way to melt chocolate? Can it be done in a microwave?

Yes you can - melting choc works well in a microwave.
This thread should come with a drool warning.....!

Hi @O_DP_T1 - I break up the choc, put it in a glass (or microwave-friendly) bowl and put it on a minute or two at high, keeping an eye on it to see it's only melted, not nuked. Works a treat, and then you bung in all the other ingredients and hey presto! I use this method for making the ridiculously addictive choc peanut squares from Diet Doctor.

@Goonergal - I'm coming round to yours - the protein ball idea sounds amazing.

If you don't have a microwave, you can melt chocolate in a bowl that can be balanced on the top of a saucepan of simmering water.

I like the 99% Lindt, mix it with natural peanut or almond butter, pumpkin seeds, and toasted coconut smiles, and salt. I just leave it in the freezer and snack on it whenever I want some.

Its nice to suck on a piece too, but biting it is too bitter.

The 90% is amazing just to eat. I can down the entire bar in one go, so I need to watch out. LOL.

With you on that one. Downed an entire bar on a train journey on Tuesday.

Have you tried the Willie’s Cacao Pure Gold 100% or the Hotel Chocolat 100% dark buttons? Both are good.
