Has anyone successfully had some form or treatment or know of any treatment for lipohypertrophy?
I have a very small frame and I’m active and healthy. My lipos have been there for 5/6 years now even though I stopped injecting in them several years ago (now on pump).
They are causing me to not feel confident about my body image and it is affecting my mental health. NHS won’t offer me any form of treatment or advice for treating lipohypertrothy.
I’m now looking into fat dissolving injections and fat freezing techniques. Has anyone had any success with this?

I think that would be a HUGE mistake.
Hi, thank you for the advice, would you be able to give me some details as to the reasons this could be a bad idea for your perspective? Have you known anyone that has had this done for lipohypertrophy?

I've never had treatment for it but the recommendation is usually to stop injecting in the area but it can take weeks/months/years to lessen or disappear. The NHS won't be willing to treat it in any capacity as it is only cosmetic and usually can be "treated" by taking preventative measures such as the above.

Hi, thank you for the response. I have stopped injecting in the area (now been on an insulin pump for a few years) but I have had the lipos for 5/6 years now so unfortunately they are not going anywhere without me doing some sort of treatment.

No, I have no personal experience, nor do I know anyone who has had those procedures. Of course it is for you to decide what to do with your body, but I would not take the risk using fat dissolving injections or fat freezing because the results may be uneven.

Okay thank you very much for your advice. I’m going to try and gather as much information as I can before I make a decision on what I am going to do.
