Liraglutide (Victoza)

My medication requires a Vicotoza injection in the morning and an Insulin glargine injection in the evening. About a month ago, my pharmacy told me there was a European shortage of Victoza so they couldn't supply it. Neither could other nearby pharmacies. My GP prescribed Lixisenatide as a substitute but I am finding this is nowhere near as effective as Victoza. Is anyone aware of for how long Victoza will be unavailable and any more effective alternatives than lixisenatide?

I’m in the same position, I’m about to start my last pen. I emailed Novo Nordisk directly and their reply said “…..which has led to out of stock which is expected to last into 2024” How far into 2024 is the question!
