Hi, well tomorrow will make it exactly 1 week since I found out that I have type 2.
I went to see the GP yesterday and he's changed my BP meds, booked me in for a blood test on my kidneys and asked me to see the diabetic nurse, who I saw today. She has organised me to have a HBA1C for next week, checked my feet that are ok, made an appt for a retinal photo, dietician appt made and asked me to have another eye test done at my opticians, which I also did today and they have changed my glasses, as my sight has worsened since my last check
I am due to have a repeat HBA1C and cholesterol test in 3 months time when she is going to review my diet and decide on what meds I need if any...
Anyway, since I have been on my new diet since then, cut out sugar, snacks etc.. Drinking plenty of water and eating lots of veg etc... I decided to weigh myself today since its nearly the week and I have lost 10lb
Can't tell you how happy I am with that. Hopefully when I go back in 3 months I wont need meds
I also have bought the SD Codefree monitor and I am just awaiting it arriving then I shall start checking my levels - how many times a day do you recommend?
