I see Dr Hilary Jones has out his name and face to this magazine.
It actually says in the magazine "the Mediterranean diet... Highly recommended by the NHS, this massively flavoursome diet is rich in fish, fuit and veg, grains, pulses and olive oil"
I have not seen the NHS "highly recommend" anything but their eatwell plate.
The article still maintains beead is an important part of the diet eating it plain or dipped in olive oil.
Just surprised that they have said the NHS HIGHLY RECOMMENDS. Yet Dr Asheem Malhotra up against the GP on the breakfast programme a few weeks ago still had the GP (NHS) saying the opposite.
Makes me wonder whether Dr Hilary actually is starting to join the club that the eatwell plate isn't the best.
He is quoted in the magazine as mentioning the Med diet or Japanese peasant diet - not too much starch...
So perhaps he is starting to change his views?
