Hi all
I was diagnosed Type 2 in March this year
Recently had a few blood tests, one was Liver Function test
I've been told to repeat the test, is this linked to diabetes?

Yes, it can be. Type 2 and fatty liver (non-alcoholic fatty liver or NAFL) are very much linked. It is believed the fatty liver comes first, and then high blood sugars make it worse. Your doctor will be checking your liver function again to confirm or deny the original test.

Do you have access to your test results? If not, I suggest you obtain print outs of the test results you had on diagnosis and these latest ones. Alternatively, if you are in England you can ask your surgery if you can access your results on-line.

Hi Bluetit1802
Thanks for the info on liver function blood test. I believe I can get the last result at my surgery (In Wales)
I have to see my diabetes nurse on Monday, so I can check with her
Good to have "instant" answers on this forum! :)

That's good, but ask if you can have earlier print outs as well.
