You know, my BG is pretty well controlled so I don’t think my problems are related to T2, but...

Has anyone else found that their feet have gone all tender and feeble? I have barely worn shoes for nearly a year now, and hardly at all since autumn. I wear lovely soft sheepskin booties around the house and only go out once a week to the supermarket. And my feet have forgotten how to be in shoes.

I have just resumed regular brisk walking and my normal, trouble-free walking shoes rubbed up 3 blisters in 15 mins. They seem to be healing just fine and next time I will wear my lovely merino mountain bike socks, which are a little padded. But really.... I never considered that pathetic feet would be a side-effect of lockdown.

Be careful, if you are considering resuming exercise this spring!

I spent a year travelling & basically wearing flip flops. It took me ages to get back to proper shoes & my husband who is not diabetic still refers to shoes as foot prisons 3 years later

I had to go the office once about 5 months ago - I put heels on & felt great for about 5 minutes & then wished I'd left them at home for the next 9 hours.

I'd live in slippers & flip flops if it was acceptable! Trainers for exercise only
