In 12 days time I'll be 'running' in th London Marathon for JDRF.
When I was diagnosed I promised myself that I would run it. In fact I filled in my first entry form just after leaving hospital.
It's taken 6 years to get in and I'm getting slower as the years go by so it will definitely be my first London and last full marathon.
I've decided to try to raise money for JDRF, they fund research aimed at an eventual cure for T1, it's not me I'm concerned for but those who spend almost a lifetime with T1. I know how very lucky I have been to develop diabetes, not as a child or adolescent but after 50 years without any health problems at all.
If you feel able to sponsor me, this is a link to my fundraising page.
Thankyou.

I wish the best of luck to phoenix and anyone else running the London Marathon tomorrow. It is such a good cause and I hope she has plenty of contributions.

The best of luck for tomorrows race phoenix

Will donate on Monday after I get my IB :D

Is it just me or do others get emotional when watching the Marathon on TV?

I think it is some of the stories behind the runners and why they are taking part.

Good luck to them all. :) :)
