Insulin
im debating moving to Prague for a few months and I have no idea how I'd go about it.
Would it be best to take a few months worth of insulin etc with me?
Would the doctors prescribe more than a few weeks worth at once?

Guess it would come down to YOUR doctor rather than any general NHS guideline.

Looking at the situation from a different angle, I've recently discovered that I cannot get my insulin in the Philippines because Lilley don't have an import licence there for kwik pens. Do you know if your insulin is available easily in Prague in the event of an emergency?

Hi I worked in Prague for a year. What I did was to ask the doctor to prescribe at least a 2 month supply of insulin and test strips. That was usually the interval of time before I was back in uk at least for a weekend. I don't think you would get free insulin in Prague unless you decide to have a gp in czeck Republic. But if you pay for it (in case you have an emergency ) you should be able to buy it. I remember I paid to have an hba1c test.

Thank you.
Hoping to find a job there but I'll see how it goes. I spoke to my gp today and they said they could give me 3 months supply if I giveem warning

My Doc Tends to give me 6 months worth of insulin prescriptions at a time, i tend to just cash them in a pharmacy when i need them, i see no reason they wont do this for you?
